OPSITE™ Post-Op Visible Wound Dressing is a sterile, transparent film dressing designed for post-operative and acute wound care where protection and ongoing visibility are important. As part of the transparent film dressing category, it combines a clear, waterproof outer film with a central absorbent pad, allowing clinicians and patients to monitor the wound area without routinely removing the dressing. The dressing is intended to support a clean healing environment by providing an effective barrier to external contaminants while remaining comfortable and flexible during daily activity.

The transparent film is conformable and helps the dressing stay securely in place over common anatomical sites. Its occlusive properties help protect the wound from water exposure during showering and from ingress of bacteria under normal use conditions, supporting infection control protocols and reducing unnecessary dressing changes. Intended Use

This dressing is suitable for post-operative incisions, minor cuts and abrasions, lacerations, and other acute wounds with low to moderate exudate where a transparent protective cover and absorbent pad are desired. How It Works

The outer transparent film forms a continuous protective layer over the wound and peri-wound skin. The central pad provides absorption to help manage exudate and reduce the risk of maceration. Because the film remains clear, the wound area can be checked for strike-through, bleeding, swelling, or other changes without disturbing the wound bed, which can support patient comfort and continuity of care.

Application and Wear

1. Cleanse the wound and dry surrounding skin thoroughly.
2. Select an appropriate dressing size to ensure the film margin seals onto intact skin around the wound.
3. Apply the dressing without stretching the film, smoothing from center outward to reduce wrinkles.
4. Replace according to clinical judgment, exudate level, or if the seal is compromised.

For best performance, avoid applying over oily, damp, or fragile skin without appropriate preparation. If irritation, increased pain, odor, excessive drainage, or signs of infection occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
